- Já arrumaste e limpaste a casa toda 500 vezes;

- Já tens o congelador e a despensa cheios de comida;

- Já preparas-te o quartinho, fizeste a caminha, arrumas-te as roupinhas…;

- Já tens as malas prontas;

- Já combinaste o procedimento do dia D com o marido e a família…

Agora só falta perguntar: Já nascias, não!?

Mas depois… 

Se calhar ainda tinha tempo de:

- Fazer mais umas toalhitas…

- Costurar um doudou…

- Será que já limpei atrás dos móveis todos?...

- Aproveitar a barriga (sei lá quando volto a ter outra destas!)…

- Queimar os últimos cartuchos com o marido, enquanto casal despreocupado sem filhos…

- Aproveitar para mimar os gatos, que se vão ressentir não tarda…

- Ainda não acabei o curso de preparação para o parto (quero a aula de amamentação!)…

Mas depois…

- Estás parva, tens pés de elefante, mal consegues andar (quanto mais calçar! – tenho a informar que os únicos sapatos que me servem são do meu padrasto, nunca me senti mais linda!);

- Ganha juízo, nem te consegues sentar à máquina de costura com as dores de costas!;

- Estás quase, quase a poder comer um bolo!;

- Já chega de olhar para roupa e fraldas, agora queres usá-las no teu boneco!;

- Não tarda, vais deixar de te levantar para fazer chichi! Em vez disso, levantas-te para dar de mamar! Upgrade!

- Estás quase, mas tão quase, quase a poder ter o teu príncipe nos braços, a vê-lo, a acaricia-lo… que até dói!

Por isso…

Já nascias, não!?

- You’ve organized and cleaned the whole house 500 times;

- You’ve got the freezer and pantry full of food;

- You’ve prepare yourself the nursery, made the bed in the crib, you’ve fold and storage the baby clothes...;

- You’ve got the maternity bags all packed and ready;

- You’ve got the procedure for the D day all talked about with you husband and family...

Now we need to ask: Can’t you just be born yet!?

But then...

Maybe there’s still time to:

- Make a few more baby wipes...

- Sew a doudou...

- Have I cleaned behind every piece of furniture?

- Enjoy the belly (I don’t know when I’ll have another one of these!)...

- Burn your last rounds with your husband, while still a carefree childless couple...

- Pamper the cats...

- I haven’t finished the childbirth classes (I want the breastfeeding one!)...

But then…

- How silly are you, you have elephant feet and can hardly walk! (let alone put on shoes - I must inform you that the only shoes that fit me are my stepfather’s - I never felt more beautiful!);

- Get a hold of yourself, you can’t sit at the sewing machine with the back pain!;

- You're almost, almost able to eat a cake!;

- That's been enough time to look at baby clothes and diapers, now what you want is to use them on your baby!;

- Before long, you won’t have to get up all night to pee! Instead, you’ll d

o it to breastfeed! Upgrade!

- You're almost, but almost, almost able to have your prince in your arms, to see him, to caress him... Come on!
